A Family Committed to Unity

 One of the most powerful things that our world has ever experienced and known is “Unity”.  It has been proven time and time again to bring incredible Power.  John Wesley said it like this:  “Give me 100 men who hate nothing but sin and love God with all their hearts and I will shake the world for Christ!”  It is the act of coming together for one common cause.

We at LifeSource cannot afford to neglect the spirit and attitude of unity.  We must have this key ingredient to successfully fulfill the purpose of creating of safe haven for the hurting and the lost.  In the second chapter of the book of Acts the Bibles states, “they were all with one accord in one place.”   It was only after they had become unified together that the Holy Ghost filled the house where they were, and 3000 were added to the church.  This explosion of the Presence and Power of God was caused by their commitment to be unified in Spirit and in Truth and determination to see it through.  This is what catapulted them into a brand new reality. Webster defines Unity as:  the quality or state of being made one.  In 1Peter 3:8 the Bible states, “Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:” also in Romans 12:5, “So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”  We are one body, we have become one flesh, with one heart, one purpose, and with one passion in the kingdom of God.  We are all laboring together not only for our own salvation, but also that others might come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the power of His salvation.  When Julius Caesar landed on the shores of Britain with his Roman legions, he took a bold and decisive step to ensure the success of his military venture. Ordering his men to march to the edge of the Cliffs of Dover, he commanded them to look down at the water below. To their amazement, they saw every ship in which they had crossed the channel engulfed in flames. Caesar had deliberately cut off any possibility of retreat. Now that his soldiers were unable to return to the continent, there was nothing left for them to do but to advance and conquer! And that is exactly what they did, together.  We have come together, now let us conquer together. We are committed to Unity.
